Tips to make your smart lock setup smarter
Home security is a matter that is on the top of everyone’s priority list. A house, when occupied by a family that sets it up to be a zone they find comfort in, makes it a home, don’t you agree? Now, imagine having that comfort zone being disrupted by break-ins and intruders; nobody would want that.
In order to solve that very problem, Hafele decided to take it upon themselves to create a product that:
Increases yours and your home’s protection and safety
Adds convenience to the daily task of entering and exiting your home
Contributes to the look of your front door as an element of beauty and design
I am sure you know that this device is indeed smart, but, what if we told you that your digital lock is a lot smarter than you think it is? Yes, you read that right. Here are a few features of your door lock that makes it worthy of being called SMART:
This technology allows you to hide your numeric password between random numbers. The password can be set to up to 12 digits while the random numbers can be up to 30 digits. The password can either be hidden before, after, or in between the random numbers. When does this function help? If you are unlocking your Re-mote digital door lock and there is someone standing next to you who can directly look at the digital lock, but you do not want to reveal the password to them, this feature will help you do so. To explain better, if your password is 45678456, with this feature, the password that you input can be 09874567812343.
The Smart Security technology enables you to combine two different access modes to further increase protection. With multiple access modes available, you can choose any two that may be convenient for you. Let's take an example; imagine you and a far off relative are standing at your doorstep and you need to enter your password into your Re-veal digital lock but he/she does not want to get their eyes off the lock while you enter the code, the next step can be face recognition which cannot be replicated. Hence, your combination of two access modes will keep you safe in this case.
This Hafele digital lock feature comes in handy in case someone tries to input a password with the intention of breaking in. The smart freeze feature has no tolerance for incorrect passcodes. In case of 5-10 wrong entries, the digital lock freezes itself for up to 5 minutes. This feature ensures that the intruder is not successful in trying different combinations to crack the password.
Apart from these, there are multiple other smart features that not only improve security but make it convenient for you to enter your home and in any situation. These smart technologies when combined with the various access modes, give you a full proof security system that you deserve!
